Sorry for the late post, but we have had way too much to do for me to sit down and post a new blog. I just finished writing a 30+ page paper for one of my classes and I still have a ton of school work to do in these next 2 weeks, but I really need a break after that paper. Me and Bryson have finally established a good daily schedule. He usually wakes up to eat between 5-6 am, but goes back to sleep right after this bottle. I will usually stay up and either do a little housework or school work but if I'm really tired, I will just pump and go back to sleep too. He will then wake up almost exactly 3 hours from his last bottle which is usually around 9am. After he eats, we will sit up and play for about an hour and a half before he is ready for his little morning cat nap. While he naps, I can take a shower and get dressed for the day. He usually wake up while I'm getting ready, so I will put him on his floor mat and let him play. He loves that floor mat so much! If he is crying for no reason, except for being rotten, I will put him on that mat and he immediately stops! This has really helped me get some things done. Right about the time I'm done getting dressed and ready, it's time for him to eat again. After this, he is happy enough for me to eat my lunch and pump before his afternoon nap. He usually goes down for his nap between 1-2 and will sleep for about 2 hours, sometimes longer. I started swaddling him, then rocking him and putting him in his bassinet for his nap and I think it has really helped him sleep longer. This has opened up so much time for me to do some school work which has been extremely helpful. Once he wakes up, it's time to eat again! It seems like that's all he does is eat, but the pediatrician said to feed him every 3 hours. I guess we will find out on May 3 how big this little guy has gotten. Our afternoon's are different everyday. Sometimes we just sit at the house and play, sometimes we have errands to run, or sometimes we go for a walk. We really like going to the park right down the street and walking around the lake, but this year the pollen has been terrible, so we sometimes will go to the Galleria and walk around. When Robert gets home from work, he gets to spend a ton of time with Bryson because I try to get some more school work done. We all usually go to bed between 9-10 and Bryson will sleep through the night most times. He has started doing so much in the past few weeks. He is smiling so much! I think if he could laugh he would. Here are some pictures of his handsome smile.
Bryson's cord finally fell off so we were able to give him a real bath at around 6 weeks. He loves his bath time. The only time he seems to cry is when we rinse him off. Here are some pictures of his first bath.
