We finally have a daily routine!

Sorry for the late post, but we have had way too much to do for me to sit down and post a new blog. I just finished writing a 30+ page paper for one of my classes and I still have a ton of school work to do in these next 2 weeks, but I really need a break after that paper. Me and Bryson have finally established a good daily schedule. He usually wakes up to eat between 5-6 am, but goes back to sleep right after this bottle. I will usually stay up and either do a little housework or school work but if I'm really tired, I will just pump and go back to sleep too. He will then wake up almost exactly 3 hours from his last bottle which is usually around 9am. After he eats, we will sit up and play for about an hour and a half before he is ready for his little morning cat nap. While he naps, I can take a shower and get dressed for the day. He usually wake up while I'm getting ready, so I will put him on his floor mat and let him play. He loves that floor mat so much! If he is crying for no reason, except for being rotten, I will put him on that mat and he immediately stops! This has really helped me get some things done. Right about the time I'm done getting dressed and ready, it's time for him to eat again. After this, he is happy enough for me to eat my lunch and pump before his afternoon nap. He usually goes down for his nap between 1-2 and will sleep for about 2 hours, sometimes longer. I started swaddling him, then rocking him and putting him in his bassinet for his nap and I think it has really helped him sleep longer. This has opened up so much time for me to do some school work which has been extremely helpful. Once he wakes up, it's time to eat again! It seems like that's all he does is eat, but the pediatrician said to feed him every 3 hours. I guess we will find out on May 3 how big this little guy has gotten. Our afternoon's are different everyday. Sometimes we just sit at the house and play, sometimes we have errands to run, or sometimes we go for a walk. We really like going to the park right down the street and walking around the lake, but this year the pollen has been terrible, so we sometimes will go to the Galleria and walk around. When Robert gets home from work, he gets to spend a ton of time with Bryson because I try to get some more school work done. We all usually go to bed between 9-10 and Bryson will sleep through the night most times. He has started doing so much in the past few weeks. He is smiling so much! I think if he could laugh he would. Here are some pictures of his handsome smile.

Bryson's cord finally fell off so we were able to give him a real bath at around 6 weeks. He loves his bath time. The only time he seems to cry is when we rinse him off. Here are some pictures of his first bath.

1 Month!

I can't believe that my sweet angel is already a month old! He has already brought so much joy to everybody's life in such a short amount of time. He has celebrated two holidays: St. Patrick's Day and Easter. Here are some things he is doing for his first month:
-Sleeps through the night (most nights). If he doesn't sleep through the night, he will usually sleep at least 5 straight hours, but fall right back to sleep after a bottle.
-Lifts his head up very good!
-He is also starting to try and pull up with his arms.
-He is still a little grunter. He is constantly making some kind of noise, even in his sleep.
-He is smiling, and no it's not gas. He is actually giving us big smiles. I think if he could laugh he would.
-He eats every 3 hours. Sometimes he will drink only 3 ounces, sometimes 5 ounces.
-His eyes are still blue.
-He loves going for walks. I think he loves the stroller.
-And sadly, he is losing his hair! Just at the top though! We said he looks like a little James Spann!
Here are some pictures Robert snapped of him on his 1 month birthday.

And here's a few similar hospital pictures for comparison. These were taken on March 3.

Our life is so crazy/busy!

I haven't really had time to blog in a while so I have some catching up to do. Since I last wrote, we had two separate visits from out of town family. Unfortunately I only got pictures with one. Our cousins from Japan had come to the states for a visit pretty much the whole month of March. Since Bryson made is grand appearance late, I never felt like leaving the house to go visit them, and I think their family was sick too. They are thinking of moving back to the states in Atlanta so before heading back home they went to Atlanta to check things out. They stopped by my parents house on the way. It was so great to see them and their kids. We had only seen their oldest, Leo, one time and this was our first time meeting their daughter Maya. This was also their first time to meet my nephew Will and of course their first time to meet Bryson. Here are a few pictures from that day.

It was hard to get a picture of both boys but this one's funny because it looks like Bryson is dancing!

Getting a picture with 4 kids is even harder!

We also had a visit from my aunt and uncle from Huntsville. They came down to give my dad a computer and help him set it up, but of course I forgot to take picures. After leaving my parent's house for this visit, we headed to Peter and Kate's engagement party. This was Bryson's first party so we were excited. Peter and Kate are getting married in her home town of Auburn and since we are all big Auburn fans, we had to dress Bryson up in his Auburn gear. Of course I didn't get any pictures of him and the one's I took of the party are not that great. I really need to get better about taking pictures of things other than Bryson!
