Bryson at 10 months!

Of course, as usual, I am late making this post, but I guess better late then never right? I can't believe that my sweet baby boy is already 10 months old! He is growing up way too fast. It's so hard to believe that we are already planning his 1st birthday party and that Valentine's Day will be his last 1st holiday. I'm so sad that he's growing up because I miss that cuddly baby stage, but the stage he is in right now is so much fun! Here's what Bryson is doing at 10 months:

-He weighs about 22 pounds
-He still wears a size 3 diaper
-He still has blue eyes
-He is no longer eating baby food. He pretty only eats table food and will usually just eat whatever we are eating.
-He's still drinking 8oz every 4 hours, but he rarely ever finishes a bottle. He has even cut out 1 feeding a day.
-He's officially a walker and even tries to run. He began taking steps around Thanksgiving and was pretty much walking at 9 months, but now that he has his new shoes, he's practically running!
-He is saying more words like "ball", "book", "mama", and "uh-oh".
-He still sleeps through the night and usually has to be woken up in the mornings for school.
-He finally cut his 1st tooth on December 17 and now has 2 bottom teeth.
-He loves to snack and his favorite snacks are the baby goldfish.
-His favorite food is spaghetti.
-He is finally interested in reading books.
-He had his 1st white Christmas.

I'm sure there is more that I'm leaving out but it is so hard to remember everything because he is so busy. I think he does something new everyday and everything he does amazes me. Of course we took his 10 month pictures but were only able to get 3 because he just can't be still. He's too busy to stop and take pictures so here are the 3 that we got.

Bryson's 1st Christmas!

We had an amazing Christmas this year! We didn't get our decorations up until the 2nd week in December because I was sick with strep throat and we got a slow start on Christmas shopping but thanks to Bryson, this was the best Christmas ever! We kept our normal traditions this year and will continue to do so as long as it works out with our family. The only difference this year was that we didn't go to church on Christmas Eve. We weren't sure how Bryson would do during an hour long mass so we decided to not go. We went to IHOP for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner and Bryson loved the pancakes! Robert got strawberry banana pancakes and I got blueberry. I was so bummed that they didn't have their egg nog pancakes this year because they are amazing! After dinner we went to look at Christmas lights. Of course Bryson fell asleep so he missed them but we did find some pretty ones. After looking at lights, we went home and put Bryson to bed so Santa could come to our house and then me and Robert exchanged gifts.
On Christmas morning Bryson slept until almost 8am! I was so anxious for him to get up and see what Santa brought him and he never sleeps that long. I guess that's something else he inherited from me. My mom said they always had to wake me up on Christmas morning too! When he finally woke up, he went straight for his new Thomas the Train push/riding toy! We were hoping that he would open his gifts but he just wasn't interested. He was more interested in playing with the paper and boxes after the gifts were open. After we were done at our house, we headed to my parents house for Christmas lunch. When we made it to Trussville, it was snowing! I am so happy that Bryson's 1st Christmas was a white Christmas. After lunch and gifts at my parents house, we headed to Aunt Evelyn's house for Christmas dessert. Bryson slept for most of the gift opening. When were done at her house, we headed over to Robert's sister's house to celebrate Christmas with his family. This year we decided to do a game of Dirty Santa with gift cards. It was a lot of fun.
The day after Christmas we were supposed to go to Huntsville for the Mooneyhan Christmas but the weather had other plans. We had to reschedule for the following weekend due to more snow!
Here are some pictures from Bryson's 1st Christmas.

3rd Annual Tacky Christmas Party

For the past 3 years, we have thrown a tacky Christmas party at our house and it is so much fun. Everybody raids the thrift stores for the tackiest Christmas sweater they can find, or in our case this year, raid my mom's closet and make our own. Me and Robert were unsuccessful in finding that perfect tacky sweater so Lisa made Robert one and I found a few old sweaters in my mom's closet. We wanted to top last year's sweater that Robert found, but I think that's impossible. Here's how he looked last year.

We always play dirty Santa at the party but this year we decided to have a gift theme. We chose board games and alcohol. There were actually more board games given as gifts then we thought there would be. I got the game Last Word. We haven't played it yet but it looks like a lot of fun. Robert got a massive bottle of vodka. Thankfully we kind of have an unwritten rule that if you get alcohol as a gift, you share it. Even after sharing that vodka, the massive bottle was still practically full so we took it to share on New Year's Eve. Here are some pictures from our fun party.

Pulling numbers for Dirty Santa. I think Robert may have enjoyed it a little too much.
